Telegrafik artificial intelligence explained to Cédric Villani

On Thursday 25 April, Telegrafik had the opportunity to explain to Cédric Villani, a French mathematician and politician who was awarded the Fields Medal in 2010, how artificial intelligence is enabling seniors to live more independently.

artificial intelligence

Telegrafik is a 15-person company specialising in the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and the silver economy.

Our goal? To enable vulnerable or elderly people to stay independent for as long as possible in their own home, a seniors’ residence or a nursing home.

To this end, we have developed a software platform that runs securely and in real time. Our artificial intelligence algorithms automatically detect behavioural anomalies. These make it possible to send alerts to relatives or professionals, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

We are able to provide information on the elderly or vulnerable individual to anticipate the onset of a more serious medical condition. For example, an elderly person who spends less and less time in their kitchen could be an early sign of a form of malnutrition.

This innovation allows us to offer Smart Care connected solutions for professionals and families:

Otono-me Home and Seniors’ Residences enable elderly people to live at home safely. We install discreet sensors in the elderly person’s home and analyse their activity. If there is a problem, Otono-me automatically sends an alert. Relatives can also watch over their elderly loved one via their smartphone.

Otono-me Nursing Homes is a solution based on video monitoring that automatically detects risk situations, and informs nursing home staff.

Lastly, we also offer tailor-made solutions for remote patient medical surveillance projects or connected solutions projects.

Thanks to our AI, we enable seniors to be protected throughout their lives.

Your loved ones can stay in their own homes for longer, postponing moving into a nursing home for up to 3 years.

In nursing homes, our solution guarantees a greater responsiveness of nursing staff in case of a fall.

Today, we have protected over 2,500 people living at home, and equipped over 750 rooms in nursing homes.

With our platform, AI has become a concrete answer to the problems posed by ageing populations.

We are also providing answers within the framework of the French Act on adapting society to an ageing population, and the new Act on dependency that will be introduced in the autumn.
